CYBER LEGAL AID - PROGRAMMES
PROGRAMME ON ROAD ACCIDENTS

Venue: Don Bosco College
Timing: 12.45 pm to 1.45 pm
Dated : 07.12.2005


To educate the students on road safety & traffic rules & also to curb the rise in the
rate of accidents,the members of the “ CYBER LEGAL AID” conducted a programme on ‘Road Accidents on the 5th of December 2005 for the First & Second Year B.C.A students of Don Bosco college.

As per the schedule, the programme began at 12.45 p.m,with an introduction given by the Incharge Ms. Gleerose Fernandes. There after she gave a brief introduction and requested Mr. Marc Lobo And Mr. Omkar Chandelkar to escort the Cheif guest Mrs. Maria Monserrate and the Principal of Don Bosco College to the Dace. Later Mr. Shivraj Gaonkar & Mr. Amay Phadte presented a floral tribute to the cheif guest and the Principal of the college respectively.
Ms. Gleerose Fernandes then gave a brief introduction on Road Accidents and requested our Chief Guest Mrs. Maria Monserrate to enlighten us further on the same.

Mrs. Maria Monserrate,in her speech spoke on issues like
1) Measures to prevent and control road accidents
2) Various Investigating procedures followed after the occurrence of an accident
3) Procedures followed in case of Major Accidents, Minor Accidents, Hit and Run cases etc

The talk was then followed by an interactive session with the students present. Some of the queries put forth were as follows:-
1) Can Drivers carry attested copies of License?
2) Why have the electronic traffic signals not being used?
3) On what basis are the Speed limits set?
4) Are there any rules for the modification of bikes?

The programme then concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Cell Incharge Ms. Gleerose Fernandes.
