With a strong desire
to serve the society dually, by providing free legal assistance to
the general public as well as by producing competent and socially
sensitive legal professionals, the V. M. Salgaocar college started
the V. M. Salgaocar College of Law Legal Aid Society in the
year 1998.
Today, the legal aid
society of the college has grown and spread the ambit of its activities
all over Goa and beyond, regardless of physical frontiers and driven
only by its sincere desire to contribute in whatever little way it
can to secure justice to every person in the society.
In today’s Knowledge
and Information Technology Era, where information knows no bounds
and everything is simply a mouse click away, V. M. Salgaocar College
of Law has launched this novel concept of Legal Aid through its new
vehicle of thought the Cyber Legal Aid.
The College through its website http://www.vmslaw.edu has set up a
link 'Cyber Legal Aid' which has
been introduced to serve the needs of the Law Students, Advocates
and the General Public at large. The ‘Cyber Legal Aid' provides

List of Free Legal Aid Cells
The V. M. Salgaocar College of Law Cyber Legal Aid, comprehensively
provides a list of all the 'Free
Legal Aid Cells' established by the college in and around the
State of Goa.

Public Interest Litigation
The students of V. M. Salgaocar College of Law furthering the ends
of justice have in the course of their legal Aid Activity identified
various problems affecting the public at large these problems were
addressed before the Hon’ble High Court of Bombay at Goa through
the process know as 'Public Interest Litigation' (PIL). The link will
list out the numerous Public Interest Litigation filed by various
students of the College. This information has been made available
