He is the Principal of the V.M. Salgaocar College of Law since 1996 and during his tenure; legal education in Goa has taken great strides. He holds several eminent positions in legal education both at the National and State level. He is presently the Dean, Faculty of Law, Goa University & the Chairman, Board of Studies in Law, Goa University and also a Member of the Executive Council of the Academic Council of the Goa University. He is also a Member of the Post Graduate Board of Studies in Law Kuvempu University, Shankargatta, Karnataka. He is a recognized Ph.D. Guide for Goa University, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, North West University, Jalgaon, Maharashtra and Symbiosis International University, Pune. He visited Essex University, UK in 2007 as part of the UKIERI Project sponsored by the British Council to foster the Faculty-Student Exchange Programme between V.M. He visited, in April 2010, the University of Lisbon as a Resource Person to conduct a Conference on Human Rights, to students of Comparative Laws as per the invitation of the Institute of Juridical Cooperation, Lisbon. His areas of interest are Legal Theory, Human Rights, Labour Law and the Law of Torts. He has a number of research publications to his credit in the International and National Journals on various topics related to human rights and child labour. He is often invited as Resource Person for Orientation Programmes at the Goa University, Refresher Programmes of the National Law School University of India, Bangalore and many other National Seminars and Workshops. He is the Founder President of the South Asian Forum for Clinical Law Teachers - a Registered Society of Law Teachers in South Asia. | ||

He has been teaching at this college since 14 years. He began his teaching carrier in 1973 as an Assistant Teacher at St. Lawrence High School. He then moved to Higher Secondary in 1979, teaching Mathematics at the Junior College. After completing his Ph.D. (Laws) from the University of Pune, he joined Kare College of Law (Margao). He then joined V. M. Salgaocar College in 1996. Earlier in 1992, as his special interest was Constitutional Law, he did the Fellowship Programme of the Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies, New Delhi and submitted his dissertation on ‘Law Making in Parliament’. He was granted Gulbenkian Scholarship in 2000 to visit Portugal for three months for a comparative study of Portuguese and Indian Constitutional Law. He has authored a number of books on Law as well as fiction. Along with his brother Dr. Anthony D’ Souza he has co-edited World Constitutionalism (2008) and Civil Law : An Indian Perspective(2009) both published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing (U. K.). Several Academicians and Scholars of repute from different countries of the world have penned their articles to each of these two books. He is the Head of the Department of Law and a senior lecturer with 15 years of teaching experience. He joined this Institution in 1996, prior to which he served as a lecturer in law for three years in the State of Andhra Pradesh. He teaches courses on Constitutional law, Administrative law, Negotiation, Mediation, Law of Evidence and Contract as well as Client Counselling. Over the course of his career with this Institution, he has been the Chairman of Moot Court Society and the Legal Aid Society. He is the first recipient of Vanderbilt - Fulbright Fellowship in clinical legal education from India. He is very active in the clinical legal education movement in India. He is an active member of the Global Alliance for Justice Education and the Secretary of the Forum of South Asian Clinical Law Teachers. Being the Secretary, he has conducted five Regional ‘Training the Trainers’ Programmes in India for training law teachers in clinical legal education. |

He is a senior lecturer with 16 years of teaching experience. He completed his LL.M. from National Law School of India University, Bangalore in Indian Constitutional Law and Administrative Process. Subsequently he did his second Masters in Law from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Andhra Pradesh. He started his career as part time lecturer in 1992 at Sri Vijayanagar College of Law, Anantapur, A.P. and became a full time faculty in the year 1994. He joined this Institution in 1997 and attained recognition as PG Faculty for LL.M. by the Goa University in 2000. He has published 17 research articles in various international and national law journals and magazines. He has organized various programmes on Intellectual Property Rights and Human Rights at the College such as programmes sponsored by the UGC, HRD Ministry etc. He has been invited as a Resource Person by various Governmental and Non Governmental organizations on Right to Information and Intellectual Property Rights. | |

She graduated in History and Psychology from St. Xavier's College, Mapusa with top honors at the Goa University with a First Class First. She is a faculty member at her Alma Mater V.M.Salgaocar College of Law for the last thirteen years, after having graduated from it with flying colours, having topped the Goa University in all three years of LL.B. with First Class First. She practiced Law for three years and later pursued her LLM. Studies at the University of Pune and completed her Masters in Criminal Law and Administrative Law. She subsequently did her second Masters from Goa University specializing in Human Rights and was the recipient of three Gold Medals - for topping at the Goa University and for securing highest marks in Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence respectively. |

She is the Editor in Chief of “Law’racle”, the In House Newsletter of the College and has been instrumental in promoting value education by organizing various programmes on human rights issues. She teaches courses on Law of Torts, Jurisprudence, Interpretation of Statutes, Land Laws, and Criminology. Her areas of interest are Human Rights of women and children and Alternate Disputes Resolution systems and her research contributions in this field have been well received. | ||
